Hon. George Coles Suite

Located on the second floor of our Historic Inn, the Hon. George Coles Suite is elegant and a beautiful reflection of Victorian style and décor. This spacious suite hosts an antique queen size bed, with a Victorian wing back chair nestled near the room’s cozy fireplace.

Marble tables are featured throughout the room with an antique wardrobe, a full-length mirror and cable television with DVD player. The full and private bath features a Jacuzzi that welcomes you to relax after an exciting day of exploring our Island. A private balcony is located off this lovely suite and gives you a tranquil place to sit and soak up the sun and sights.

The Georgina Coles Brown Room

Located on the second floor of our historic inn, the Georgina Coles Brown Room is elegant and soothing, decorated in soft hues of blue. With a grand queen size four poster mahogany bed, an antique wardrobe for storing your luggage and keepsakes, and charming antique chairs creating a cozy atmosphere beside the fireplace.

Enjoy the secretary desk, perfect for writing postcards to friends and family or to set up your laptop and use our complimentary Wi-Fi. This room features a full, private bath including a tub and shower. There’s also cable television and a DVD player in this room for your convenience.

The Helen and Gordon MacDonald Room

Located on the second floor of our Historic Inn, the Helen and Gordon MacDonald Room is warm and welcoming with it’s relaxing pine hued décor.

Two majestic antique mahogany three-quarter beds, antique wing back chairs and a secretary desk grace this room, steeping it in the Victorian Style along with the cozy fireplace. Featuring a cable television and DVD player for your enjoyment. This room hosts a full, private bath with a tub and shower.

The Alexander Brown Room

The only room located on the main floor of our historic inn, this room is designed for partial accessibility.

In the 1800s, this history-steeped room was formerly used as a bank, now it’s a guest room designed for your enjoyment. This room features a comfortable queen sized Murphy bed, two wing back chairs nestled in front of a cozy fireplace and full-size closet for your convenience.

A cable television is tucked neatly away in the cupboard with an accompanying DVD player. The full sized private bath hosts a stand-up, accessible shower and a luxurious Jacuzzi. Your private sun porch is located right off your room, perfect for relaxing with a book or just resting while taking in the sun.

McGlinchey’s Landing Suites

Located on the second floor of our historic inn, McGlinchey’s Landing is a two-room suite that boasts elegant décor and extra convenience for those who love space or for groups up to five people. It’s the perfect private oasis.

This suite features two spacious rooms including a lovely sitting room with views of the Kirk of St. James. This room has a cozy fireplace, cable television with DVD player, two wingback chairs and a loveseat that converts into a bed. It also has a comfortable queen-sized Murphy bed, convenient powder room and a private kitchenette that has a mini-fridge, microwave, sink and all the dishes and silverware you may need. Beautiful french doors open onto a private balcony with sweeping views and chairs for relaxing.

The separate bedroom has a Victorian style queen size mahogany bed, antique chair, lovely antique wardrobe and its own personal cable television. This room can be open to the rest of the suite or the pocket doors can close to create a private area. Attached is a full, private bath with a stand-up shower and relaxing double Jacuzzi.

The Miss Olivia Room

Located on the third floor of our Historic Inn, the Miss Olivia is a warm and calming room with vaulted ten-foot ceilings. With a queen size cast iron sleigh bed, a double pull out couch, turn of the century dresser, wardrobe cabinet and cable TV with a DVD player this room is designed to be charming and convenient. Featuring a large, full-sized private bath with tub and shower.

Gran’s Haven

Located on the third floor of our historic inn, Gran’s Haven is a charming room with vaulted 10-foot ceilings. With an antique double mahogany slight bed, a beautiful mahogany antique wardrobe and an antique chair, you’ll be surrounded by elegance. The lookout windows offer you a bird’s eye view of downtown Charlottetown. A cable television and DVD player are in Gran’s Haven for your enjoyment. This room features a full private bath.

Please note this room has one double sized bed and is suitable for a maximum of two people. Due to size it does not accommodate a cot.

Fitzroy Hideaway Suite

Located on our third floor, the Fitzroy Hideaway Suite is your own personal getaway. With beautiful windows that overlook Charlottetown and a view of the historic Kirk of St. James, you’ll be in your own world of relaxation. Featuring an elegant iron frame king sized bed, antique wardrobe, settee, antique chairs and an atmospheric fireplace. There is also cable television and a DVD player for your convenience. Your full, private bath hosts a stand-up shower and a double Jacuzzi to unwind after a fantastic day of sightseeing.

The Grand Foyer

Our Grand Foyer is the first warm and welcoming place you will encounter upon arriving at our inn. Here you can register as a guest, enjoy the two attached parlours, sign our guestbook or simply enjoy your first steps into the past with this historic home. With a crystal chandelier, antique ornament shelf and French doors, each detail is carefully maintained to keep with the history of this lovely home.

The Rose Parlour

The second of our two parlours, the Rose Parlour offers a warm and cozy atmosphere. Its soothing colours wrap themselves around guests, fully immersing them in the historically styled room. This room hosts a grand marble fireplace, his and hers Victorian antique chairs and a settee for guests to use at their leisure and for their relaxation.

The Canary Parlour

On the first floor of our historic home, you will find one of our lovely parlours. The larger of the two, the Canary Parlour, is a cheerful room, decorated in light and airy colours that lift the spirit. With a stately marble fireplace, it’s the perfect place to sit comfortably and discuss your wonderful day, read a book, or even to play a tune on our piano. Guests are welcome to fully enjoy this parlour throughout their visit.

The Dining Room

Each morning, a full hot breakfast is served to our guests in this stately dining room. With a mahogany dining table that can seat up to fourteen guests, breakfast is always filled with lively conversation and happy laughter. Enjoy the company of each other and be entertained by the charm of Helen, the innkeeper, as each breakfast is always enjoyed to the fullest. With its original 1937 wallpaper, elegant cast iron Victorian fireplace and antique grandfather clock, you’ll be in the midst of history with all the comforts of the present at hand in our air-conditioned dining room.

As a Historic Home, we do not have an elevator. Please read room descriptions carefully and let us know if you require a first-floor room.
